A friend of mine has a 73 Pantera L that he purchased brand new. He put about 32k miles on the car and decided to put it in storage.I have not seen the car as of yet but will be looking at it after the first of the year.I am trying to find out (approx) what it would take to get the car roadworthy and where to start. Here is what I was told. The car has been stored for 10 years, it is on blocks and he told me he drained the fuel, pulled the battery, removed the wheels and put it up on jackstands. He replaced all the water hoses right before he put it in storage. The car was running flawlessly before he quit driving it. I am unsure of the condition of any of the brakes, hydraulics etc. He said the car was in mint condition when he stored it. I was wondering where to start, what would be the worst case scenario (dollarwise) assuming that there would be no rust. What should be replaced? What would the value of the car be as is, assuming it is rust free, versus the value up and running. The climate here is pretty dry and the car has been covered so hopefully it will be rust free. I will try to find out more info and view it soon. Your imput would be appreciated.
