Which Muffler do u like

B. 3.5" out

Having just spent a couple hours trying to return some semblance of shine to my 35-yr-old stock mufflers, they all look good to me. I'll take C.

Looking at your Avatar and that L rear bumper, I actually think 'B' would look best being more akin to the 'L' straight out look.

It's way too loud for who, you inside or those outside? Isn't there any way to quieten the existing look down with glass packs or the like?

It has 4 glass packs on it now

I think B as well, mostly due to the tube length. If A were longer, that might look mean.

I believe that muffler was on the Pink Panther that was owned by Bev Hall.

IMHO B would look best.

B but based on what Crazy Dave has reported, I'd want to know what's inside first. Definitely don't want all those baffles and things like are in the stock GTS muffs.

Anything looks better than those funky tips on the PI muffler.

For looks I would go with B. The 2 4" might be a bit overwhelming.

And can we ask what they are?

Magnaflow mufflers, the one's most everbody liked and the one's I just ordered today are P/N 14816. I called Summit racing and they cost $150 each, Magnaflow list them at $274.00 ????

Should look good, if not I'll cut them off and do something diff.,, at least it won't be so loud!

I like the sound of most of the Magnaflows I've heard. I have that on my WRX. I'm going to need something for my Pantera. Issue is, its a Pre-l, and I haven't seen anything that has that good angled tip. The PI one might be ok, tho it isn't the same.

Keep us informed as to how they sound when you get them installed

when I get around to replacing my mufflers, I plan to cut the rear-caps off a pair of MagnaFlows, shorten the muffler cans to the same length as the Ansas, then cut the back of the cans at an angle before I weld the rear caps of the muffler back on. That way, with the muffler sitting level, the tips still point upward at the proper angle.

Basically, modifying the MagnaFlows to duplicate the Ansas.

This will require a bit of TIG welding & buffing, but the result should be worth the labor & cost.

I have PI mufflers but the body is way too long for a proper mount and look. One more item on my to do list.....
