Is that an optical illusion or can you see the side of your tire sticking out past your fender from the driver’s side mirror?

Hi Mike,

Yes, that is an optical illusion. The tire is very wide but doesn't stick out past the fender on the front or top side of the wheel well opening. It does stick out a bit towards the back of the wheel well opening but that was kind of the look we were trying for. Some may find that it sticks out too much for their taste. I could have moved them in another 1/8 inch or so but that would be about it.

Take care, Scott
Thanks Scott. I’m always interested in wheel tire combinations and ride heights, etc. and what flexibility we have with different wheel sizes. Expect it will become more important in the future. With your wheel/tire setup do you think it would be possible to lower the car by removing the spring spacers or adjustable shocks or are you pretty much locked into the current ride height?

It would be helpful to know the distance to the ground from the bottom edge of the rocker panel pinch weld edge in front of your back wheel and the same for the front of the rocker panel at the bottom edge of the pinch weld.

Nice seeing your Pantera out on the track this weekend. I was there with the Mustang and had a few problems with power steering on Sunday that ended the day early. However Saturday was a lot of fun and Jim with West Coast Racing Inc. puts on a great event with great pricing for anyone that may be considering going to the track.

My spacers have already been removed however with the all aluminum motor and the carbon Fiber deck lid the rear is probably a bit higher then stock. I don't think I could lower the rear much with the tire width I went with. I definitely need to stiffen up the car a bit. I noticed that I am getting WAY to much body roll in the corners. Any suggestions. Stiffer springs? Bigger sway bar? I know I need new shocks as the ones I have are stock and wore out...

If I measured in the right place the front is 7 1/4" and the rear is 8".
