window trim

4372 is getting ready for paint, I need help on the following:
1. The chrome trim at the bottom of the door window. I see no screw or rivets. how does this come off?
2. 1/4 window in front of side gills. There is a trim strip, riveted to the pillar, and appears to cover the front edge of the moulding. Does this come off before rolling the rubber to release the window?
I appreciate any help.

I have to pass question #1

#2 - No, that vertical trim strip remains. Make sure window rubber has not been overpainted. Break it free all the way around on the back side. Fold both sides of one of the upper inside corners back, push firmly working the inside rubber past the body metal and window, gasket and gasket trim should all come out as a unit.

As far as #1 goes, there are tiny screws that attach from the inside, you have to remove the window felts and maybe the glass to get at them. The job can be a real pain and don't lose the screws, they are very hard to find replacement ones that small.
