Cliff,
I'm a little unclear about your question, but....
If you are asking how to remove the windshield wiper arms, they are splined and slide over the splined stems. They may have a small spring loaded retaining clip at the bottom that will need to be depressed. I have found using the nail pulling claws of a standard hammer works well to lift the arms off the splines. BUT USE CUSHIONING CLOTH AND A THIN PIECE OF WOOD, BIG PUTTY KNIFE BLADE OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO SPREAD THE LOAD SO YOU DO NOT PUT A DENT IN SHEETMETAL.
If you want to remove the two slotted grills that the wiper arm stems protrude through, they are attached with 6 (8?) pins that are a push fit in matching retention clips. One in each corner and 2 (4?)inbetween. They may be very tight if never previously removed. Try some insulated copper wire, or something similar, that you feed under two of the ribs nearest the corners (NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIBS OR YOU'LL PROBABLY BREAK THEM) and lift straight up. BE GENTLE!! Do it in stages, going corner to corner, just a bit at a time, until you have them all coming up, including the middle ones. You might also use a putty knife or flat blade screwdriver for encouragement, but again, USE SOME CUSHIONING CLOTH. And realize these grills are about $300 to replace. If they seem locked in place, perhaps some penetrating oil squirted in each corner area will loosen things up.
And if you have the arms and the grills removed and want to remove the actual stems that are driven by the wiper motor ... sorry, I'm not sure how you do that one ;-)
