What is the secret to removing the knob on a pre-L Pantera? It appears to be simply pressed on the shaft. No mention of it in the shop manual. All it talks about are the newer cars with two toggle type switches.

On the bottom of the knob, there is a small hole that you insert a small object like a paper clip or jewelers screwdriver to release the knob.
