I just spoke to Steve Wilkinson and he said that he should be getting in oversized windshields to glue in, in about 2 weeks. Price should be around $650.

Is the windshield on a 74 model, specifically Pantera or is it borrowed from another car?
I'm in Melbourne, Australia, and need a screen but importing one from the uSA isn't a great option.

That would probably be a bit over 1K Canadian assuming a similar shipping charge (never safe to assume). I just priced a new windshield for the truck and it was $285 (installed and taxed). Now if only I had the skills to cut and shape glass!
Of course if the Canadian dollar suddenly shot up and became double the U.S. greenback, then I'd be sorely tempted.

I saw one Pantera in Monterey this year that had the modern style glue in windshield. I was surprised at how much it changed the look of the car. On this particular modernized Group 4 car it looked great, but IMO it would probably not suited to a Pantera that retains the rest of the chrome trim.

I spoke to O'Brien glass in Sydney last year and their system said they had 17 in stock in the warehouse. Special fitment (2 techs required) lists for around AUD1700.
I said no thanks I can bring one in for 800 US and he said OK, AUD 800 fitted as its a "slow moving" item. I think he meant the sale price not the car!

For anyone thinking of buying their own glass and then paying a shop to have it installed, use caution.
You should ask if the shop will cover the loss, of a customer supplied glass, should it be broken in the installation process.
You may find they WILL NOT cover such a loss, as the glass did not come to them through "normal" supply channels.

Very valid for a stock windshield, but the discussion was around an updated oversized modern style glue in windshield that has no rubber gasket. That said it may be even easier than stock.
One of the biggest problems may be that it doesn't cover as much paint as the stock windshield gasket and Pantera's are prone to rust under the rubber gasket where water collects, so you may require some body and paint work prior to fitment of a new style screen.
