This winter I plan to strip and repaint my '72, plus make a few repairs and upgrades. Here is an outline of my plan.
Remove the power train before media blasting the body and engine bay. While the engine and tranny are out: flush and seal the gas tank; re-gasket and safty wire the tranny (leaking); and, replace the timing chain.
During reassembly, replace the rear a-arm bushings and one wheel lug (short because DPO mangled it removing a stuck lug nut).
I also plan to upgrade the cooling system with SS pipes and an aftermarket radiator and am considering relocating the A/C condenser.
Need suggestions for a radiator and pros/cons on the condenser relocation.
Have I missed anything that I shoud do while the power train is out?
