Ok, I'll drink to that too. Confused. While we sip our nipples, think about this......I may attend a east coast timing event kinda like Bonneville. I got to thinking.... what do you think would happen to this spoiler at 150 mph and the 2 clams and 4 rivets that hold it on?

I got to thinking about it LPB. The event is like a long drag race. Instead of a quarter it is a full mile. I don't know that we could get up that fast in just a mile. I mean say you were hitting a hundred at the end of a quarter, that means you would have only 3/4 of a mile left to get up close to top end of the car. I am not so sure we can do it. I really don't know but it seems like you would need like a six hundred horse power Pantera to do it. I am thinking the 135 MPH is more like what we would hit with our basically stock cars. Maybe I am wrong though. Fastest I ever been in my car was like 91 mph, so don't go by me.
OK.. I guess the more horses you make the quicker you get there. Then there is 4:22 gear x tire diameter times emgine rpm + .072 overdrive in fifth. They said the surface had bumps like the spaces between cocrete slabs...could you imagine the bump-bump-bump getting faster and faster until it soundds like a drumroll? I think there is plenty of room to top out at 6000 or less. Red Face
Could be. I just remember a car and driver magazine article where they had all these supercars and they tried to break 200 in the mile. Not one of them did, and these were like 1100 hp twin turboed vipers and such. Bookoo power. But anyway if I remember right aerodynamics on your car don't really get started untill you see a buck twenty or better. I don't think you will see enough down force to rip you air damn thingie off. Maybe so. If nothing else it will keep a who;e bunch of air from getting underneath your car and lifting it up. It is probably better to leave it on.
Yeah, these gurly-man Panteras won't make it.

On the other hand, my Miata made 135 easily on salt. (yes, one mile standing start)
If your Pantera won't make 140 at Maxton . . .
DON'TTELLANYBODY. They might think I'm harboring a wuss-mobile in my garage.
