I'm building a Diablo replica using a LT1 adapted to a ZF. I have an adapter bellhousing and have mounted a ZF case for construction purposes. What should I look for when I get a transaxle? Does the Pantera ZF run the proper direction for the Vette engine? What gear ratio would you recommend for street use? Is there anything else you would recommend that I look for?

I would remove the bottom cover and look at the pinion gear for any pitting or holes,you can't see anything else with out splitting the case. The ZF turns the right way to use with a Chevy if you use it Pantera way up, but if you flip it up side down you will have five reverse gears unless you flip the ring gear. Lloyd @ RBT
