ZF reassembly

Hi Lloyd, finally got my ZF back together, changed the cracked case and 2nd. synchro. What is the conversion for checking the preload on the differential assy.? ie. Wind a rope around housing, rotate with a springscale. Book says 3.5-5kp. Lbs.? conversion. Also, the partsbook shows 2 springs to retract the throwout bearing assy. Misplaced them? thanks for info Ken Edmonton AB Canada

Mark the ring gear and preload it till you can only do one complete rotation while spinning with one hand, on the springs you never had them as they were only on the dash 1's, they just used the same picture in the book
