handbrake info pls

If no one has it handy I have a complete handbrake setup in a box somewhere I'll dig out and measure and/or photograph.

I recently saw an article in an older PI News, that described how to modify the Handbrake "Arm Assembly" (the one under the front ot the oil pan)to get more leverage.

Peter, if you are working this now, I can see if I can dig this up, and scan it for you.

It sounded like a useful mod.

Cable Length Crimp to crimp = 124 inches

Seg #1 = 53 - 1/2 inches, Seg #2 = 57 inches

Cable end brackets are 2 inches long each and add about 1-1/2 inches to length per side or 3 inches overall.

The mod uses the stock cable, it just mounts it a little inboard (or outboard) of the stock holes on the arm.

I'll do my best to find and scan the article.

OK Rocky thank you for that, I can now send my old cables to a firm in South Wales called "Speedy Cables".

It would be interesting to see the mod, does it mean that it clears the water tubing better I wonder?

Unbelievable as it may seem, I found TWO articles!

They are TIS 12-04 and TIS 12-10.

As we all know, this correlates to:

12-04 = Vol 6. No 1. 1979
12-10 = Vol 13. No 4. 1987

TIS 12-10 was the one I was thinking of, but I'll try and post them both.
