DSC Motorsport actually has some of these for sale now.

I would think that there has not been a big demand for them and there is no question they are a little pricey to begin with.

Here they are here:

I doubt that he has more than a couple of sets.

I saw a pair that had been "engraved" on a CNC machine with Detomaso and the DT logo.

That looked really nice.

They will help you out on a Pantera more with the location of the filler and breathers more that anything else.

I am running aluminum roller rockers and they clear the aluminum Detomaso covers with no internal issues.

If I start breaking rocker arm studs and need to go to a stud girdle then these covers would be the answer for sure.

They do give the engine a competition look and educated viewers seeing them should show caution, give you some space and at least a default respect unless proven otherwise? Particularly if the car exhaust sounds like a marching band when it idles.

Boom, boom, bad-bad boom! That right there should warn you not to mess too seriously with a healthy Cleveland.

750hp is not out of the question with 357 inches and the Ford Motorsport high port heads. I have seen dyno numbers on several engines with numbers in that area. Granted in the 8,000 plus rpm vacinity, but still, that was shocking. Eeker

And no...not me. All I admit to is 500. Let everyone else worry about it. Big Grin

The Pantera is easier to drive at top end then the Ford GT...maybe! Big Grin

It has no supercharger to hit you with 150 extra foot pounds of torque at 150 mph and launch you off into the stratsphere?

Thanks Doug,

I never heard back from Barry at Survival motorsports. I did contact Dennis at DSC Motorsports and have a set on the way. Funny you should mention the DeTomaso engraving as the thought had crossed my mind. Any idea where you saw it or who did it? I'd like to research that more. The breather and PCV routing was a big factor in my decision to try these. I also think the raw cast look along with my aluminum intake and heads will look good. I'll post some pictures when the show up.

Glad to have helped. Big Grin

As far as engraving them, I just can't remember but it could have been Hall had done a few sets.

Even if you have the machinery, the big deal is usually setting them up to do the job.

These people do stuff like that. You probably are wasting your time with them but the most they can say is no, right?

Why don't you ask them if they'd be interested in doing your set?

It looks like they already have the design set into CAD? They show other stuff they made out of aluminum billet that they engraved as would be necessary for your covers.

Yes, the BT covers definitely offer some advantages. It also just so happens to be a really attractive cover as well.

Really has a unique look.

Let me know how it works out with them? I'm interested in following this.

This is an example of what they do. This is about what you are looking for in your covers right?

These are all cut out of anodized aluminum billet on a CNC mill.
