Oh, yeah, funny looking at the car on Provamo, I remember the brake ducting applied on the car...!
Mufflers are a little strange. Otherwise, the car looks great. This will be fun to watch. Thanks for posting.
Will be interesting to see how the BaT crowd favors the car. Far from stock including a color change. Will be fun to see considering the last yellow one stalled at $235K
...and here another, at BHCC...at $197.5k, and looking like a pretty honest car (complete, long term ownership). In the 8ma700-800 range (2 piece door covers, 2 piece seats)...maybe 8ma710?
(Last limegreen Goose at BHCC was pretty tortured (with an automatic transmission on the motor resting in the rear, missing a door and clearly a lot of legacy/necessary plastic surgery)...this is clearly a different car, you can see some evidence of 'something' that makes a bad fit around the passenger door--but on the whole, the car is quite original, appears to be original undercoating under the car, even the replacement air cleaner at least looks somewhat 'correct...' (at least, close enough for someone to just drive and enjoy the car). Some overspray underneath, replaced felt in the trunk and oil pan...but many pieces as original (yellowed vinyl edge trim in the engine bay, correct blackout paint around the latches, etc...). Note the leather strap for the jack, or the rubber hose over the stainless pull cable. A 17k mile car, its believable.
Just sold for $389K.
...wow, did not see that coming. I wasn't watching, was it actually bid to that? (by the price, I'm just guessing that an Angel came and wanted the car...)...Lee
It SOLD for that price. Several high end bidders. Car was presented beautifully and bingo..... sold.
...that is the second highest price I think I've seen for a Goose--the highest being "The Cars" car (8ma1190), but for the second price to be a very customized version of a Goose is pretty damn telling for any of the rest of us sweating over date codes on the distributor Lee
I agree with you because the BaT crowd either kills the car and seller for lack of originality and the price never comes or in this case they were just gushing on the car, regardless of the color change and different interior and mods to the engine and they all "loved it". go figure I guess.
...just seeing a little activity in that skid plate (!) But even the lug nuts are custom...
And a smart addition, the drain hole on the right rear.
