Mine is ! #1889
Mine is # 2100. If I understand the traffic on this BBS, the serial numbers started with 1001. So your's would have been the 889th production car and likewise mine would have been the 1100th...

Mine is number 1386 and just completing an extensive restoration. It wouldn't be surprised if DeTomaso skipped a few serial numbers during production or some of the numbers in between were called 72s!

Mine is #22. Also a pushbutton (obviously).
MINE IS 1223 AND IS ALSO A PUSHBUTTON, ALTHOUGH IT IS REGISTERED IN THE STATES AS A 72.
So the answer is add up all the responses on the board and add a few more! The only way to tell is if every current 71 owner listed his car in the registry or forwarded a new owner every time it was sold.The Pantera seems to finally be getting the same registry status akin to the Shelby and Cobras.
Hopefully Bill(the current registar) will jump in and tell us how many are listed in the longstanding registry at least for a reference.
We thank them for the effort and time spent keeping track of our car family.
