1972 Seat Types and Rear Bumper Types

There are several different types of bumpers. I suspect the difference you are talking about is the "wrap around" and non-wrap around versions.

1972 was a transition year- serial #27xx should have been a pre-L with chrome split bumpers. But there were several varieties of pre-L chrome bumpers that may or may not be original on your car after 29 years... Euro Panteras had black split bumpers. In September of '72, the "L" models (US only) came out with their one-piece black bumpers (rubber in front). So its kind of a crap-throw as to what is "correct". I'd advise you to simply do as most guys do and mount a set of whatever you like best on your car.
