Can anyone tell 2V or 4V heads by looking at exhaust ports without removing off block. All pictures I've found show only the intake ports on bare heads. Ports approx. 1 5/8"w x 1 3/4" h. Email pic's kfedirko@heliqwest.com Thanks
4-V heads have intake ports 2-1/2"x 1-3/4", so it seems these are 2-V heads. Note that these "tiny" 2-V heads had bigger valves & ports than the largest Chevy small block heads ever built, so its all relative to what you want. Another way to tell is by the big "2" (2-V) or "4" (4-V) cast into the head on the outside, above #1 exhaust. It's visible on a running engine but you may have to wipe grime off covering it.
