AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?

Bought mine from Hall about a year ago. It fit my 72 pre-L without any modification to the welded plate.

Studs on your emblem that don't fit, door handle buckets without the proper curvature, steel flares that don't come close to fitting, fiberglass front L bumpers that are too narrow, wheel studs that are not corrrect - just some of the crap some vendors offer.

You get used to this after a couple of years. After a few more you expect it.

I just try to roll with the punches.

I liked that crest and put one on my '73 which had no provision for it at all in the grill.

I just fabbed up a mounting clip.

Not everything works out. I still have the rear deck remote in the shop drawer. It came with about 30 feet of cable. When I figure out how to shorten it I will install it I suppose.

The "exact replacement" rear deck lid struts are the ones that got me.

The pressurewas so exact it ripped my hinges out.

I get excellent help from Hall Pantera along with unlimited free advice and assistance with any questions or problems.

Their parts are what they say they are. They ship the next day and I have easy and immediate credit on any parts that I decide to return - no questions asked.

I have had this service from Hall for the past 20 years. Gary, Bev and Tara have done nothing but good things for the Pantera world.

To each his own and everyone will have a vendor that they feel more comfortable with.

I would say that about 95% of my $50,000 in parts were from Hall.
I used him because he had everything in stock and shipped it right out.

He always had a 10% return fee to me, something I never appreciated. The catalog prices were never any good either so it was tough to budget.

Everything would always be more.

The seats were in the catalog for $1000, cost me $1400. The headers were shown as thermal coated for $650. Not so, naked they were for $800.

His flares fit like crap so I sent them back, 10% and all.

This was still a lot better then Colorado Performance. Nothing was ever in stock. Nothing ever got shipped out next day. Nothing was as cheap as Halls. You never had any idea what it looked like because there was no catalog.

Twenty years ago they were all there was, that I knew of. Now there are a few more choices.

At Hall there was Gary, Mike Cook, and Bob to ask. Bev would always have to ask and Tara was a kid.

Now Tara runs the show but she's not the mechanic. I doubt that she understands why parts fit or why they don't, but I could be wrong. All those trick parts that Gary had are no longer carried so where you find them is where you find them.

It doesn't matter that Hall didn't make them. I still don't know where they come from, but he had them all in stock.

Thats cool. I have enough hassles in my life and getting my car sorted to give money to a vendor that caused me therleast bit of grief to have to deal with. Wilkinson has been patient with me shipped fast...though i wish he didnt use DHL...and has been willing to talk methrough stuff over the phone and didn tsell mestuffthatwas nt going to work.
