"Honest and trustworthy" isn't worth much if they don't know Panteras intimately. The best intentions in the world will fall short due to inexperience and lack of replacement parts in stock. Instead of trying to break in a new shop, why not go to a recognized Pantera vendor and negotiate your job? The L.A.basin is full of Pantera shops- Wilkinson, PI Motorsports, Byars, etc. Further out, there are many more- PPC-Carson City, Quella in Colorado Springs- the list of known shops is pretty extensive.

Thanks

My wife and I are friends with the owners (Gary and Deshawn). They have worked on my car and done a good job, but they are not Pantera experts. I would say they are honest and trustworthy, but don't have years of experience dealing with the idiosyncrasies of our cars. Are you unhappy with your southern California options?
Hi. Thanks for your response. I live, for the time being in LV and I travel back and forth to LA. But the Pantera is in LV. Problem is, Gary just doesn't have time to get to my car. It's been there more than a year, so I'm looking for other options. He seems to be a real nice guy--when I can get him on the phone, but I want to drive my car!

If you have someone to recommend, please lay it on me.

Thanks,

Kerry
I didn't notice that you responded way back in October. Too bad Gary couldn't get to your car, they do a good job.

I have had very few issues with my car the past few years, so I have had a friend that owns a Nissan performance shop do simple stuff like change a throwout bearing and do some little wiring work. It sounds like a weird fit, but he likes working on my car because it is so simple. To him it is a high-power go cart. But, he is closing the shop (I think) and is getting a job at a dealership. The economy is rough here.

That means I am out of local options.

Have we met? Maybe at Cars & Coffee? You can't miss me when I am in the Pantera. Otherwise I am in a gray Porsche 996 with blacked out tail lights.

Wow, I'm so bad at this. I just noticed your response now. Sorry for the two year delay. No, I don't think we've met. Is that a picture of your car?

Are you still in Vegas? Did you find someone to work on your car?

Yes, that is my car.

...and no, that is not my wife. Heh. I let a friend shoot the car for a mobile detail business he was starting.

I think I have as many pictures of my car with women as I do without.
I am new to this. Lot of good info. in this forum. I am located in Vegas also and would like to find someone with Pantera knowledge. Dealing with the over heating, valance replacement, and some wiring. Body and paint to follow. Valance is replaced and front bumper is off, I think it looks better.
Not too sure about the original gauges giving true readings. I do have a new Fluidyne rad. to go in from PI.
My first Pantera and excited to see how this comes out.
Grew up in the late 60's early 70's muscle car era and had most of them. This, I never owned. Thanks
