JFB..

The TV's were pretty cool. I can't help thinking what a nightmare it would be getting all that aero-plastic loose if I had to work on something under the car!

I was worried the car I was driving would end up on it's side like that one, but no such luck.

But this event was Top of the Line. To give you a taste of the accommodations....

It took me a while to get the names of all club members who participated....

Due to the terrific response from the local automobile cognoscenti, the entire 2 day event was overscheduled, and our AZ POCA group had to be split into two sessions, running on different days.

The first session was held the morning of March 22nd (8:00 – 12:00). The first AZ POCA group consisted of the following members:

  • Dave Andresen
  • Larry Benson
  • Chris D’Apuzzo
  • Keven Feld
  • Ted Grundmeier
  • Gil Mares
  • Jerry McGlothin
  • Rick Schwamm
  • Carl Wilkins
  • Bob and Sean Waldo

Sean is Bob Waldo’s 18 year old son – he had to get special permission to drive the Shelbys!

The second session for AZ POCA was held on 23 March at 1:00 PM. AZ POCA members and their cars attending this session were:

  • John and Kathy Buckman
  • Jim Fusco S/N 5169 ’74 L
  • Chuck Huber S/N 5357 ’74 L
  • Steve Ram The High-Voltage T-Bird
  • Joe Stockett S/N 2806 ’72 Pre-L
  • Cheryl Strawser
  • Bill Whitmore S/N 3921 ’73 Pre-L

Then we had a blast after the event at a local Italian Restaurant.... Fun times.
