I have a new Fluidyne radiator, but it's mounting tabs do not make it tilt forward like 'laydown' radiators. Currently have some sort of replacement fans that mount within the stock mounting clamps, but rest against the radiator and look like modern replacement fans that would be used with a laydown. Looks like the fans were modified, use motors are not nearly as deep as stock, but deeper new flat motors. Which are the best fans to use with a non-laydown application?

Thank you

John,

I've seen owners install brackets (flat stock) to the radiators that allowed them to then attach modern, flat motor style fans to their radiators by attaching them to the brackets.

Spal manufactures an 11" high performance fan rated at 1390 cfm, 12.5 amps. The pusher version of that fan has a part number of VA03-AP6-37S. I have purchased 2 of the puller versions of this fan for #6018.

LOL, I'm in a no-man's land for fans. This Fluidyne radiator lays forward some, but not as much as a regular laydown radiator. It mounts rearward of the mounting tabs. Tilted too far forward for Meriah fans or Spal (Spal would be fairly close but doesn't appear they would fit, and not forward enough for the setup you have George with the full shroud. A cooling pergatory!!!!!

What mods are required for a new laydown?

Thanks
John
John,
I bought my Spal sucker fans for the lay down fluidyne radiator from Steve Wilkinson. In fact I have a spare pair of slightly used ones if you are interested.
