I was planning on selling off the entire body of the wrecked '74 that I have but it cost too much to crate and ship to the interested buyer in Iowa.

I'm cutting up the car and planning on selling the parts individually on Ebay. Can anyone tell me the going prices for :

1)rear deck lid, no rust no dents just scratches

2)driver and passenger doors, rust on the window
frame channels but rust free on the all the
other sections. Very minor dents on each.

3)rear clip section to include quarter panels,
rear tail light/ valance clip section, engine
bay wheel houses. All are rust free, Q-panels
have very minor dents.

Thanks in advance

Dennis,

A shame that you will have to cut up what sounds like a useable body due to shipping costs. I bet shipping the pieces will amount to about the same total cost at the end of the day, just that it's spread around a few different buyers.

For the deck lid you should be able to get an idea of $ from previous eBay listings, maybe that will also serve as a measure of how used parts compare to new ones on a % basis. I suspect your location and hence total price plus shipping costs may still work against you for some items, especially those one could obtain in the contigious 48.

Actually the car had far too much damage to make it a worth while save. It got twisted right about the middle. Anything can be saved for a price but even fixed, I wouldn't want a car that was bent that badly. I've found that Ebay's prices vary from week to week. What doesn't sell for much one week goes for a fortune the next.
The doors and the rear deck lid are now on Ebay:

The rear clip section is complete from the bulkhead back and includes the quarter panels, rear tail light valance section, engine bay wheel houses and rear frame. I don't have complete pictures of it at this time as it is packed away in the back of my garage. It is rust free with only a couple of small dents on the Q-panels.

Everything from the B-post back is intact but this clip is going as an entire unit. I don't have the skills or the time to cut it up any further. I was initially selling the body as a whole but shipping to the 48 was too much from here. I cut the rear clip off because I had to make room in the garage for the pushbutton.
Yeah, kinda crazy some of the prices being realized on Ebay.

I was watching a set of Pantera Floor Mats 'as new condition' and they sold last night for $182.50. Well Pantera Proformance sell the same ones new for $110, where's the logic in that eh Confused

A lot of the stuff that I sold on ebay sold for more than they cost new. Unless they have become unavailable without my noticing, I too don't understand the logic. I figure that they get caught up in the bidding frenzy. I had even posted their retail prices in my description. Go figure.

Sam, call Tom at 808-224-3349. He is a crater/shipper here in Hawaii that offers reasonable rates, he will give you an estimate. The doors and rear deck lie are on Ebay if you're interested.
