Has anybody had any experience with the amount of heat and glare from a carbon fiber dash and interior versus a leather covered dash and interior? It seems that a light leather would be cooler initially but slower to cool down than carbon fiber. Is there a significant amount of glare from having a carbon fiber dash in the sunlight?

Thanks, David

FWIW, I've read that carbon fiber deteriorates quite rapidly when exposed to direct sunlight. If used on a hood, decklid or other exterior part of the car (maybe the dash top?) it should be painted. The newest Chebby ZL1 (?) has a carbon fiber roof & in order to protect it from the sunlight they have to spray it with a very special clear coat that costs $60K per gallon Eeker
