Can anyone provide the stamped or tag ID for original Pre-L carbs with the closed chamber motor? Is it the D1OF-EA? Additionally, I have an Autolite 4300 squarebore carb stamped DOFF-S with no tag. Can anyone decode this for me with the intended application?

I was thinking that the early Panteras (and the Autolite 4300D’s were all spread bores?
I’ve seen at least 5 cast iron manifolds off various Panteras, and IIRC, they were all spread bores…
But I’m happy to learn new things!

The closed chamber motors all had square bore carbs.

I don’t think that is correct, either.

Pushbutton #1313 had square bore. Here is its carb. I only see the letter A on the tag.

Thanks Rocky. I've seen that but it mostly talks about intake casting numbers.
As you can see, all closed chambered heads had spread bore carbs.
I meant square bore.
Personally, I wouldn't spend much effort searching for a 4300 except for a static display. Back when the cars were new, tuners used to refer to the Motorcraft 4300s (both sizes) as 'Untunable instruments of the Devil'. Some shops used to give them away as scrap zinc. Good luck-
