CONCORSO ITALIANO to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Pantera

I just spoke to the GM at Laguna Seca Golf Course and he advises that they have made an attempt to alleviate the exiting traffic problems of last year's event. This year, only display cars will be allowed to use York road. And, the display area is in a different section of the golf course which is closer to the bottom of the hill nearer to Hwy 68. This, together with hiring the CHP to handle traffic should make it a better experience this year for all who chose to come. So, I plan to be there and hope for the best.

I'm new to the forum, and a future Pantera owner, just starting my search for the right car. I'd love to meet up with some of you guys at Concorso. I've also heard that there is a Pantera group that always stays at the Los Laureles Lodge in Carmel Valley during Monterey weekend. Would that be any of your guys?

Firstly a big welcome to the forum. THE PCNC (Pantera Club NorCal) always have the Los Laureles Lodge pretty much fully booked. They put on a dinner over the weekend which is well worth attending.

Welcome aboard! This is a great group here. And Concorso will be a great opportunity to see and compare just how different one Pantera can be from the next; you may even get the opportunity to "try on" a couple and see how they fit - ergonomics and fit for a particular body type can be completely different from one car the next depending on seats and steering wheels.

Thanks for the advice! I'll check out the PCNC site and hopefully meet some of you there. Realistically I'm at least a year off from a purchase. I'm pretty tall (6'2") and would like to sample some different seat configurations to figure out the legroom situation.

At 6-2 you should be fine in stock seats stock floor. I am also 6-2, (270lbs) and fit with not much room to spare.

Celebration of the Pantera's 40th anniversary has been included in this year's event program, and Tom Tjaarda, the Pantera's coach designer, shall be in attendance thanks to the effort of Jeff Cobb and the generosity of many DeTomaos enthusiasts.

39 DeTomaso automobiles are registered for display so far. We shall organize popular judging and award trophies as we do every year.
