Holley documentation says:

Connect the CTS connector to the sensor which should be installed in a coolant passage in either the intake manifold or cylinder head. Do not install the sensor in the thermostat housing.

Obviously I can't put in the intake because it is dry on a 351C.  And I do not see a port on the heads for a coolant sensor.  Ideas anyone?  Thank you.

I "read" that as not AFTER the thermostat, where coolant is cold until theromstat opens.  But in coolant that is circulating/bypassing before thermostat so that it is seeing hottest temp  exiting as block warms up.

I requested that that sender be in the front of the block position.   that way I use the digital temp display hot coolant temp.   now, I placed the veguala 230F gauge sender in a plug in the water pump inlet.  I was thinking that would be coolant temp leaving radiator, but it is more of the "mixed" coolant temp entering the block (about 20F cooler)

(in the swirl tank bung, original gauge sender position, I added an idiot lamp switch)
