cooling tubes

I am replacing the coolant tubes and heater/ radiator hoses. I took the old ones out several months ago and I am not sure about how they go back. Does the hose from the water pump connect to the left side (driver) undercarriage tube or the right? Does it matter which side undercarriage ube connects to the top of the radiator?

Plumbed like the factory did it, the tube going to the water pump is the top hose. This is the 'cooler-water-out-of-the-radiator'hose going to the suction side of the pump. Hot water leaves the engine through the top pipe and thermostat and goes to the radiator bottom hose. Practically speaking? It probably doesn't matter much on a street car.
