I decided to replace my 14 + year old Hall brand cover. Nothing really wrong with the old one except a couple of small holes and Cover Craft was having a sale.

I ordered their "custom" cover for a 1971-1972 "Ford" Pantera. It arrived and basically fits like crap.

The cover is 4-5 inches too narrow on each of the side of the front fenders. They ran the seam from the roof drip moldings to the outside edge of the front deck lid, instead of the outside edge of the front fenders. The cover runs along the doors about 3/4 quarters of the way down. The back end of the cover is about a foot too long and is way too wide.It hangs in a clump.

Is anyone using a Cover Craft cover of any fabric with similar fit issues ?

You put it on backwards. Seriously, it sounds like they got it way wrong. Is your car flared? Maybe they mistakenly sent a cover for a narrow bodied Pantera.

Mine is on the snug side. You need it that way if you use it outside at all.

The looser it is, the more the wind can beat it on the car.

If it was just sagging here and there I'd tell you to put it in a washing machine with hot water.

Don't putit in the drier though. That will ruin it.
It will be almost dry when the spin cycle is finished.
The Cover Craft people could not have been nicer. They have matched the returned cover to their patterns and could not find any error. They offered to pay for shipment both ways after adding mirror pockets. But the fitment (factory OEM mirrors) is so short that I felt it would make a minimal difference. After further discussion they are refunding my money.

At this point I am looking for a recommendation for a quality indoor only cover. I want good fitment (covers the rocker panels), good dust protection and of course soft non abrasive materials.

Any recommendations for a Pre L with no body mods ?
