Dash removal

Any tips on removing the dash. I have removed the center console and the gauge/switch panel. What is next? I am going to replace the evaporator and while I'm at it I may redo the interior, etc... I am thinking a light gray instaed of the black. Maybe the Burlwood inserts.

I thought the hardest part was removing the screws that hold the speedo & tach.It helps to be double or triple jointed.Just take your time and mark your wires that you take out.

Well, I got the dash and the evaporator out.

It really wasn't all that bad. The dash is only held in with 6 screws and they are all pretty easy to get to.

A good portion of the wires do not have to be removed. I left the speedo and the tach in the dash and removed them with the dash. They both have a large connector that can be unpluged leaving the wiring still connected on the back on the units. Of course the speedo cable needs to be disconnected.
