That is cool. From the time my daughter could first recognize cars, the Pantera was that awesome car gathering dust in Grandpa's garage. It was the best-looking car in the world and she was bound and determined to own it someday. Now, at 22, my daughter drives a VW Rabbit. I hope you do better with yours.
My son just got his drivers permit yesterday and all his friends want to know "when is he going to get to take the Pantera out?" When I finally stopped laughing at them, I told them when he's 35! And maybe on prom night his senior year (we'll see).

My 11 year old daughter wants me to finish restoring my Mustang so she can drive it when she gets her license. Ha! I think she needs to start saving for a moped.
FWIW, my annual insurance bill just went up by over $1,000 per year now that my son has his drivers permit. Despite the fact that he is NOT a driver on the Pantera, the insurance went up on it (and all my cars) because he can access the car and 'might' drive it. As a matter of fact, my wife's sister snuck out with my in-law's car before she had her license and got into an accident. Eeker

Yikes! Guess you have both more and nicer cars in your garage than I have. My daughter will get her permit at this same time next year too, so I expect another sizeable increase.

Great pic of your son with the Pantera DeTom! I be he was more interested in the car than his date! So, how long was the burn out he did for his buddies that night??? Cool

Garth, that was his date. He told everyone his prom date was black and weighed 3000 pounds. He did indeed do a burnout right in front of the principle, and he still managed to graduate somehow. In another month or so he will graduate from college.
