Yeah I did a search and found an old topic regarding this and what people have said regarding dyno comparisons. I wanted to revive the topic, but alas the topic was locked (can we get this fixed) I've got the same dogbone air cleaner and see it as a bottleneck. It looks great, but I am in a position to do back to back dyno comparisons. My filters do need some cleaning on the dogbone though for the comparison to be fair.

My guess is the dogbone comparisons will be negligible on a relatively stock or mild 351c, but on a better flowing 351 or stroker there will be a difference as indicated by some. Right now I'm hunting down another alternative for a filter like the one pictured on the car below. I've put on an HVH 1" tapered spacer (same one Kaase and others use on their engine masters challenge engines. I also got a used race demon 850 (trying to acquire the 775 venturis for this) and re-jet it, but still learning the ins and outs of carburetors. I've done tuning with an Accel Gen6 dfi setup on my mustang, but never carburetors. So I'm either going to try a filter assembly like the one below or one of the k&n 9" wide by 5" tall filter assemblies. I've seen a filter like this in a pantera I found on youtube somewhere in northern europe, possibly sweden. I just can't find the video anymore.
