If your dome light and passenger door illumination light came on when the door was closed, and off when opened, where is the first place you would check for a electric gremlin? The drivers side illumination light in the door do not light up in either open or closed position. Could a bad bulb be the cause?

Revised statement, thank you Dave!

That sounds like normal function. Do you mean the opposite? If so, check fuse #9, or for any other blown fuses. I had the same dome light puzzle when I blew the cigar lighter fuse.

Possibly, or corroded socket, loose wire, broken wire, etc.
