Driver side low beam goes to zero volts when headlight is plugged in? | The De Tomaso Forums

My passenger side works 4.0!
Drivers side low beam has 11+ volts but when I plug the bulb in it goes to zero.
Search said, check resistance on the ground side...how? (ps I'm a mechanical engineer not an electrical one...so gentle please).
Both highs work fine and switching fuses (left/right) did not cure.

The ground is common for both high and low beam so I would think that a problem with the ground would manifest itself in both circuits and high is working fine???

Resolved...
I can only guess it was the connector to the pig tail for the headlight bucket.
Pulled it apart, cleaned it, re-seated it and all works 4.0!

i had the same problem with my high beam.. same fix here. Now I have to clean the pax side because its dim. strange.

Maybe its getting ready to go from dim to nothing?
