Huh? Is there such a thing? I've never seen it.
The Ford Motorsport version is very similar and does not have the heat passage BUT is made for the A3 aluminum heads.
Is that the manifold you are looking for?
It will not fit iron 4v heads. The bottom of the ports will be open 5/8".
Hello there. I may have phrased this incorrectly. I should have said "medium" riser intake. Also the carb mounting flange opening is completely wide open and without the partial "finger" in the opening.
A Torker 2760 is the manifold no matter what you call it. As stated above by me, it only comes one way with the exhaust cross over unless you use the M-331 Motorsport Torker for the A3 heads.
The point is, respectfully, I think you are asking for something that doesn't exist?
Actually I had one a few years ago and was too stupid to hang onto it as I thought I would no longer need it.
Let search my photos files as I do have several pics of it. Stand by.
Having blown up a shot of the mount flange opening , it appears that someone had machined out those fingers possibly, although I have seen several over the years wide open like this. . . . go figure!!

As funny as it sounds, I just check WalMart! They seem to sell the Torker 2760? Sold and Shipped from TPM?
Wow ! ! ! ! I just went on the Wallmart web site and put in the manifold name and part number and "BINGO", I can have a brand new one here by next Wednesday at the slowest shipping rate. The manifold is wide open in the center and no choke riser opening in the casting ! Thanks cuvee thanks for the heads up!

I have never seen one with a blocked heat riser passage although it's been made for 40 or 50 years so who knows why they vary. I'd take a guess and say they are pretty rare and an additional guess in that maybe it was made as a "competition" only manifold?
I thought maybe you were confusing the Torker with the Scorpion? Me bad.
I've seen them with and without the "fingers". Mine had them. I had three Torkers plus the Motorsport versions for the A3.
Best of luck in finding one.
Hey panteradoug,
I just checked my pics and the exhaust crossover openings on the intake runner side flanges DOES have the openings in it and the casting for the exhaust cavity, but the actual opening on the top of the manifold is blank. Even the one I just looked at on Wallmart site is void of that heater opening.
I just wonder if I order one if that opening will still be blanked ?
At over $450.00 for this piece it would really suck if it was open for the heater !!!! Stay safe and well !

Hey Les... I was just as Surprised as You about WalMart (hopefully) being able to get this Manifold. Not sure who TPM is but good Luck! Being Retired, seems I got More Time on my hands, and as Lame as it sounds I kinda enjoy the Hunt for Old Stuff!

Les. I'm the wrong one to ask about this. I would think that the un-machined choke well version should have it's own part number?
If it were me, I'd call Edelbrock Tech and ask them for clarification.
I haven't used the Torker in 25 years at least and am not aware of what changes they made to it.
My impression however is that the unmachined version is one of the first offerings from Edelbrock, not one of the newer ones?
IF I was the Edelbrock Tech guy and you told me that you wanted the blocked un-machined version, I'd just tell you to block it. I ran a 4779 750 Holley with a manual choke and just made a 1/4" thick aluminum plate to mount on it and block it. To me, it was no BFD and not something to worry about at all.
I never put these things on a dyno but for the life of me, I don't see where it matters one iota whether or not the plenum has tabs to it. The location of the carb throttle plates to me, makes that totally irrelevant?
Well, I’m looking for a particular manifold for a specific project and this manifold I’ve described is what I require and will settle for nothing else.
I do appreciate your input here on this issue. It’s always good to have a different perspective to consider on any and all things. Thanks! ! ! 🏎🏎🏎🏎🏎
Agreed. You set the criteria, no one else.
