Hi Will,

You're referring to independent runner (aka IR) EFI. Dennis Quella sells the IR EFI set up based on a Weber intake manifold, Jerry & Dave sell a Hillborn IR EFI set up. Kelly Coffield manufactures an IR intake manifold that can be used for Webers or EFI, designed for the SVO heads.

The Hillborn system is a set of 4 throttle bodies with injector ports that bolt straight to the head. This looks like the better design. The other system uses 8 throttle bodies bolted onto a standard Weber intake. What I like about Dennis' system is that he's able to install air filters and keep the system low enough in profile to keep it under the L engine screen.

Doesn't your motor have 2V heads?

cowboy from hell
I certainly can relate to the price tag problem!

Your 3V heads really limit you in your choice of IR EFI intakes. About all I can suggest is to contact Jerry about the Hilborn set up.

Another thought, you can't run Ford EEC electronics with a IR EFI system becuase the Ford system employs a mass air flow sensor. You'll need the speed density or alpha N type controller (such as the Accel).

take care,

George
