well i tried chipping it,the hell with that so took one of those small propane torches and heated the tar,even on the 1/4"+ stuff the putty knife peeled it off like warm butter,it sitll has to be washs down with so chemicals to get the residew off,but it sure beats the hell outa chipping it,its a one person job but it goes faster if it two people one heating the other scareping,belive me its worth taking the gas tank out,for fire protection and when finhesed jusr spay her down with water,just incase theres hot spots,use a flexable putty knife blade shappened on grinder,worked great for me.les

i have one but wanted to get the thick shit off first,and try the gun to clean the residue off,what kinda media do you recommened?this morning i took the bellhousing and zf off the engine,easier to detail on an engine stand,then it got to hot,my med.'s and heat don't mix to well,so i go out there early am and late pm,i got to get that kid to bring up the a/c for the garage,he'll do that today along with taking some pictures,i rearranged the garage also his stuff was starting to creep over onto my side,triping over it.les.
