So I did a search and found one topic related to weight reduction. I probably could have tailored it more, but figured I would ask if anyone has measured any common weight reduction items.
I found one on the starter dropping roughly 8 lbs from the old starter to the high torque gear reduction starter.
So my question is how much weight was saved when you removed the A/C system including lines, compressor, condensor/condensor fan/shroud, dryer, basically everything in the engine compartment. Maybe someone weighed this after they pulled it out.
Average weight drop going from the stock iron heads/intake to aluminum heads/intake
average weight drop going to a fiberglass decklid
Most of these I've already done, I'm just trying to calculate curb weight from stock. Maybe a few guys have done these and weighed their cars since.
