Instead of crowding in on Larrs classified ad to sell his seats, of which I am guilty and I appologize Larrs but I got all excited again. I started this thread incase anyone is interested.
I have my pedal box appart and I can report that the 1" spacer for me isn't enough. In fact it isn't even worth the effort for the one inch for me.
BUT, what I did find out is that for me, 2 inches is just about perfect. You can't believe the difference. I must have two inches more of knee room now. Wow, where did it come from. Before the Lecarra wheel was digging into my right knee. I was driving like it was a 32 Ford. Now I can drive with my legs extended.
What was asked also was what are the limiting factors to the amount of the relocation?
From what I see so far, the top of the brake booster hitting the inside of the front decklid appears to be the main obstruction.
I have Halls with the big polished aluminum Mustang master cylinder with the 1" spacer and it makes it by a hair, but it clears!
Worst comes to worst and the spacer could be angle milled 5 to 10 degrees. Everything would still work.
All the brake lines flex enough to move forward 2 inches, the vacuum hose has to be disconnected at the booster and then slack has to be pulled through the hole.
The winshield washer reservoir is in the way and needs to be relocated a little. Maybe if it is turned flat it can stay there.
The throttle cable has enough slack to move to it's new position.
There seems to be no problem with the operation of the pedals by moving them this far forward.
Of course I may have to come back here with my tail between my legs and grovel, but that's for later.
I'm 6'2 with a 34" inseam, and I dress on the right. DT, where just gonna have to shorten you up to 6'2 guy.
For now this baby is going forward, yes!
