Oh yeah, one other thing. As Jack DeRyke was talking about under the topic of 'Fuel Pumps' today, if you do this Fuel Injection modification, make sure you never run out of gasoline. When I've let vehicles run out of gas in the past, it was always just a short time later that I had to install a new primary fuel pump INSIDE THE GAS TANK. This means draining the fuel, pulling the tank, and replacing the fuel pump. BUT IN A PANTERA YOU ALSO GOTTA PULL THE ENGINE TO GET TO THE GAS TANK. So, never run out of gas if the fuel injection install is done. And if you do it, I want a ride in your Pantera, cause I've been thinking about this also. There's a really neat set up I've seen advertized in Pantera International with computerized mapping for programming the fuel injectors, they said it 'clicks' a little, but really improves crispness. Pulls like a ton of bricks off the line.... Looks like a Webber set-up, with individual stacks (velocity tubes) available in low-rise or hi-rise, way cool. $8K to $10K cool. That and my 6-speed ZF when I hit the lottery....
I like your idea with a Ford item maybe available from an auto salvage yard. Keep in touch, and say hi to the local Pantera guys.... I'll catch up with you when my poly-graphite bushings are installed in a couple of weeks. - Ron
