Mark, I sealed my tank with Eastwood Gas Tank Sealer and it worked just like it's supposed to. It seals any pinholes that you may have and dries to a rock hard finish. You can either buy a kit that includes products to clean the tank before applying the sealer, or you can buy the sealer on its own. I just bought the sealer and had a radiator shop hot tank my gas tank, to clean it out. A radiator shop can also fix any holes that may be too large to qualify as "pinholes". I also had the tank powder coated before using the sealer. Dave
Red Kote is an excellent choice. I am running a tank now that was coated with it and no problems. My original tank, which is now a spare, had pinholes after I acid-etched the inside to remove the rust. The Red Kote will seal it up nicely when I'm done.
Keep in mind that not all gas tank sealers were made to work with todays gasoline blends. The additives in ethanol eat at some of them. Red Kote is resistent to them.
