Does anyone know what a GT5/GT5S rear window with the defroster is worth?

Not sure of the value John. But I know they are hard to come by and were only in European cars.

thanks jim. Mine has one too....that's odd considering I have a 72 Pre-L. The original glass must have broken and for whatever reason, was replaced with one from GT5\5S. I'm thinking of selling it and going with plexi.

Mines a Euro GTS and it has one ... my car has a couple wierd options ... that were GT5 and 5S options.

Out of curiousty, why would you go with Plexiglass John ?

I was thinking I could sell teh GT5\5S one, buy a lesser expensive one and put the money elsewhere. I'm not too concerned about weight, but it would be a little lighter too.

Well be careful because the only real Plexglass to use is LEXAN .. it doesnt scratch like plex and dont think its cheaper then glass. 1/4 inch LEXAN is expensive.

Not only expensive, but many times not even lighter, so you dont save on weight.
Johnny, Regular Plexi glass will scratch like crazy, I would probably stay with what you have.

How is lexan for sound and heat control? Better than glass?
LOL ... I cant say my old 66 Comet drag car was load ... big block with 4" collectors .. not a good example ...but I will say I'm considering the same with 6476. Lexan is fire proof ... it doesnt shatter like plexiglass. its more pliable and you can drill it.plex is impossible to drill or bolt with out breaking it.
