GTS Exhaust

Could be because it is 2 1/2" tubing. The "mufflers" have some gussets supporting the tubes in and out that are not on the smaller ones. I think construction of the muffler is different, too. Mine has perforated tubes inside the tips and I can see a plate with holes in it across the inside of the muffler. Do you have the big headers to go with the 2 1/2" pipes? My headers need a dent in the gas tank and shield to clear one of the header tubes. It tried to melt a hole in the aluminum shield.

Because the GTS headers are 4-into-one of almost-equal-length tubing instead of the 6-piece sheet pressings that always unequally expand with heat, then crack (repeatadly). The connecting pipe on GTS exhausts is 1/2" larger in diameter than 'normal' and the mufflers have one less baffle inside, adding up to some extra power without being too obnoxiously loud. Ansa still builds the 'stock GTS' system and its available as OEM, but the Pantera vendors all market an equivalent system much more cheaply. Such can even be had in stainless steel to last essentially forever.

I'd like my entire system to be the same, do you know if stainless steel headers are also available?

A few of the vendors advertise complete stainless systems, but due to the expense, I suspect that none are stocked so you send money, then wait for a set to be built to order. Personally, I think that a set of GTS look-alike exhausts, Jet-Hot-coated inside & out, will outlive me with no cracks or burn-outs and are much more affordable- plus all the vendors sell these!
