It started innocently enough, a couple of guys decide to go to a car show and ogle the hardware, and the next thing you know my wings are getting clipped!

There were one or two gems at this show - e.g. the '54 Studebaker Champion, the Dodge Coronet police cruiser, and the '69 427 Stingray in Black Cherry. The Party Hearse is something I'm trying to forget.

The real problem was the photos my buddy took of the sponsor's representatives as they made their rounds to check out the cars ...

Hooters Car Show June 09

Most of my shots were taken just before the show ended, but the organizers estimated there were between 500-700 cars through the day - some showed up at 7:30am in the morning to get a premium spot (near the dunk tank) but the show didn't start until noon - we arrived at 11:20am and were parked way in the back (moved up to the front about 40 minutes before the show ended)

So for those events you forget to call all of us, huh?

I felt it was my duty to take one for the team and check out the show this year rather than waste everyone's time. I think it passed muster, and as soon as my buddy calls and to say there's another car show at the "retirement home" (I'm not kidding, that's what he was trying to tell my wife), I'll let y'all know.
