So I am a new member and just purchased a pantera from an owner here. There are a few things I would like to do with the car, nothing major, mostly small fixes. But one is the intake housing. I've done some reading as I have one of the holley dogbone intakes. It looks great, but I also wonder if there is more performance hiding in the engine with a more efficient design. The dogbone doesn't fit under the hood as it is with the single plane intake manifold which honestly is great, but I'm looking at something that is more ram air.
I see those side air vents sold through PI have the holes designed to attach an intake inlet. I'm just not excited about replacing the glass with an aftermarket part even if it is made of carbon fiber. I'd have it painted as a preference, but wondering if anyone is using them for this purpose.
Lastly I remember going to the Knotts Fabulous Fords show back in 2002 when I was living in socal and seeing a Pantera with some kind of roof scoop fabricated that didn't stick way up above the roofline, but enough to act like a ram air setup. It wasn't the full scoop that was integrated into the hood which I've seen on some track cars. Anyone have pictures of some custom setups, or want to share what you've made?
