Pantera engines are more or less level to the frame.

Fords usually have a slight nose-up orientation, which is why we often mill the intake manifold carb base to allow our carbs to sit level.

Blue Thunder offers manifolds for Panteras that are in fact properly milled to adjust for that Pantera angle.

that would suggest that the trans-axle tips down-ward towards the rear of the car, is that correct.

Nope.

I was perhaps not clear enough when I wrote - "Fords usually have a slight nose-up...."

Should have written -

Because OTHER Ford products usually have the engine in a nose-up position, the manifold carb bases have an angle that corrects for the nose-up position and places the carb on a level plane.

When those standard manifolds are used in a Pantera engine, which is mounted level, not nose-up, the result is a carb that does NOT sit level.

This is why some owners mill a standard manifold to remove the as-machined 'corrective' angle that is NOT needed in a Pantera.

Blue Thunder thus offers a Pantera manifold without the nose-up correction angle.

Hope this time I was clearer. Wink
