I was curious as to the flow rates at idle and about 3000 rpm with a stock water pump.

Has anyone had experience with the 55gph electric pumps out there? Pros and cons?

Dunno, but they're sure to be different than in a front-engined car, especially factoring in the special diameters of the Pantera-only crank & waterpump pullies.Stewart Pumps says that on pre-LT-1 Chevy 350s, about 55 gallons per minute, not per hour, is needed to keep a moderate-horsepower stock engine cool with stock components. And we all know the requirements go up as power increases.
