My toy is a 73 Pantera L (5643) registered as a 74. Ive owned it for about 14 years and am the 3rd or 4th owner. The car was repainted including the engine compartment and gone through by a previous owner. I have up graded the following: new fans, a 4160 600 cfm Holley, Holley insulation spacer and heat deflector, Edelbrock Torker II manifold, Hall Big Bore Headers-ceramic coated, Ansa exhaust-ceramic coated, Chrome water tanks, Red Top battery, 100 amp alternator, new brake booster and master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, head liner, mirrors, amp meter replaced with a volt meter, Ford Racing Valve Covers and an Edelbrock air cleaner. My next projects are to go through the electric windows, and up grade the carb to the new polished aluminum 4160 600 with V bowls and electric choke. The current 4160 has a manual choke that is locked out. I like the 4160 600, its well mannered in traffic, no unburnt gas fumes and still pulls strong. This Pantera is super clean, fun to drive and keeps me out of trouble, mostly.
