After looking what seemed like forever I finally bought my first DT.
It's a 1978 Deauville # 2024 which is in the process of being restored. It will be the same original colour blue with black leather and silver velours inserts.
On top of it all its an original Dutch delivered car, which is what I always wanted.

Excellent news indeed, you have joined a most select club indeed!

Roland, a good idea but lets wait a year if we can as Roger Brotton currently has my own car in bits undergoing a complete restoration.

My own car is a series 2 which was white, became red and once restored will be a dark burgandy colour, Robino Rosso I think its called.

Actually Roland you may be able to help on this but I was speaking with Roger Brotton before Christmas about what colours were available for a Series 2 Deauville? I’ve looked around all over the place with no success at all

It think Robino Rosso looks damn good, particularly after having had a good look at Johnny Woods Pantera at Le mans last summer.

Another option might be a dark metallic blue but I’m sure as hell not painting it white after investing £20k into the restoration, it would end up looking like a Mark 1 Ford Granada Police car!!!!
I'll seen if I can post some pics. They are to big, 660 kb, any ideas on how to post them?
Vario-Rob, try the Deauville registry from SMMartin. I added all know names and colour numbers from Glidden Salchi for most of the 38 Dutch delivered Deauvilles. Most of these colours were also used by Maserati, Ferrari and Fiat. A bit of cross referencing on google might give some clue on what the colours actually look like.

You'll need to crop them or reduce the number of colours to get them down to size limit (I forget what that is). If they are Jpegs there is usually an option to increase the compression used (at the loss of some quality).
