There are spacers under each end of the adjusting rails! If you want to "Lay it back", you could just remove the rear pieces, although they are only about 3/4" thick. You could do that and then add more, or thicker ones, to the front. I eliminated the TRACKS alltogether (because I am so tall) and I just put the seat directly on the floor with the two spacers in front bolted to the holes in the seat that the track was once bolted to. This did give me some "laying back", and then I went to a "Racing" seat that has a reclining back, I fully recommend doing so!! I have yet to bolt it down to the floor. About the Steering wheel, I went to Halls 13" Thick Grip, It's Beautiful in the hands!! Then I added shims between the steering column MOUNT and the CHASSIS to bring the steering wheel angle down slightly. They were 1/4" thick and came out PERFECT! These TWO shims ONLY go under the two bolts closest to the steering wheel; the TWO bolts, closest to the PEDALS, receive NO shims, but must be loosened a little to move the column downward, and add the shims to the front! Once the shims are in, all four bolts are tightened securely. As I have the "Single Pod" dash, I wanted the top of the steering wheel to ALIGN within the same PLANE as the TOP of the dash. It looks very PLEASING to the eye! Lowering the seat shows MORE of the gauges, while lowering the angle of the steering wheel will show LESS of the gauges. Experiment with it! We all have different dimentions and tastes! The factory designs can't please everyone. But since you will be the only driver, the car need only FIT you! All the best! Marlin. #5723
