Some of you may remember the GT4 project car I posted and asked everyone's opinion on. Thanks to everyone that responded.

Since then I looked at this beast. '72 GT5 conversion. 500hp. Looks good. Being sold by a fellow board member.

My wife looked at it with me and said "it is beautiful, I want you to have it." I was surprised as she has never had an interest in any car over four years old, or without a back seat. So I am waiting to hear from my bank (as I don't want to sell another car to buy this one.)

I did look at the GT4 and it was too much work for me to handle. The only reason I didn't ask the guy if I could post his contact info was he was supposed to get it running and let me see it up on the rack (to check for rust), but he never called me back. I figured it was a red flag.

Everyone that wants his contact info raise your hand. I will contact him and ask if he really wants to sell it.

Coz, below is a list from the time it was sold in 2002. The current owner fixed a few things (reworked the carb, installed comfy Corvette seats) and then put it in storage with only the occasional drive to keep it alive.

-----------

White with GT5 flairs (fiberglass), deep chin and Delta wing.

550 HP Kuntz stroker, B&G Holley Carb. Dinoed together, approx 5000 miles on engine,

New centerforce clutch, SS long throw slave, safety wired ring and painted ZF.

Numerous $$$ upgrades include, Hall aluminum radiator with dual sucker fans(runs cool), Silicone hoses, Big Bore ceramic headers, PI SS mufflers, urethane bushings

345-45-ZR15 yokohama rears on 14" wide (rare) group 4 Campagnolo, 285-40-ZR15 yokohama fronts on 10" wide rims.

New reworked all steel fuel lines 3/8" and new steel fuel tank.

Hall Superstopper brakes with SS lines, full Woodhouse sway bars, camber locks, extended A-frames in the back, adjustable shocks and springs.

Vader square halogen headlamps.

The a/c system is upgraded to rotary but not charged up, power windows, interior is very nicely redone in black with cloth seat inserts.

This car is very sharp and clean, very fast and smooth considering the cam in it. It has about $85,000 invested over me and the last owner.

---------

I found that it is HARD to stear at low speeds. I'm hoping that putting air in the front tires (they were low) will help a little. Other than that, it was GREAT.

So, I should own the car by the end of the week.

Now, if only I could find another Pantera owner in Vegas to hang out with.

Come next month you will not be able to get awy from all the Pantera owners. Evry year in april, for some unknown reason, thoausands of Pantera owners flock to vegas for some kind of wierd mateing ritual. SCientists are baffled by this phenomenon. Wink
ROBERT HI. I may be moving to BOULDER CITY in a few month's if all go's as planned hopefully by / during JUNE. Unfortunately i wont be bringing the PANTERA.
Will probably wind up selling the PANTERA and 69 MACH 1 and shipping the 97 SALEEN SPEEDSTER
out.I'll be at the FUN RALLY and staying on for the following week to check out housing/ job's etc.Maybe i'll see you there? Do they have any regular cruise night's out that way?
JOHN.
I must say I know Mr Myers car. He only owned it for a short time. Not sure wife liked the money he spent on it. It did run good. When he had it, he had a clutch problem and an intake manifold leak.

Here is a video from inside the car. It shows him racing a red pantera on the Rantoul airforce base runway. Notice the red car wins. That red car is my twin turbo car in an older state of tune.

DeTom: I should be at the Pantera event as I bought the car yesterday. I look forward to meeting folks from this board...I wish people posted more pictures of themselves with their cars. We only post photos of our cars - it reminds me of when someone becomes know as "Steve's mom".

John Kazlo: Boulder City is great. Boring, but great. Cruising? There isn't a lot of car culture here. I hope to find some when I join the local Ferrari club (they are friendly to Lambos and Panteras).

Dave: Yeah, that red car looks fast. Wink You are correct that it pulls on wavy roads, but that is probably compounded by the fact that I am probably driving on the same tires that you drove with. They have tons of tread, but I think they are pretty old.
Chris,

I haven't had a chance to call you...you can take it for a drive as soon as I get it running. If you read my "exotic embarrassment" post you know that it died only minutes from me signing the paperwork that made it mine. Alternator maybe?

Thanks to everyone else that answered my questions while I was looking at cars. :-)
